  • Thank you! - A big thank you to everyone who participated in the blood drive last Sunday, February 5th! They collected 48 viable pints of blood, which will help approximately 144 persons. Many blessings to you all!
  • NEW STUDENT ENROLLMENT - Are you interested in enrolling your child(ren) in our parish school? New student testing for grades Pre-K & Kindergarten will take place on SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 25TH, BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. New student testing for grades 1ST thru 8TH will take place on MONDAY, FEBRUARY 27TH, also BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. It is necessary to Pre-Register. Please stop by the school office Monday thru Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. to pick up a registration form. If you have any questions please call the school office at (949) 574-7411. Thank you!
  • Cancer Ministry - The St. Joachim Cancer Ministry continues to provide spiritual and practical assistance as well as awareness opportunities to the St. Joachim community. Would you like more information about the Cancer Ministry? We invite you to our next meeting on MONDAY, FEBRUARY 13TH, at 7:00 p.m., in Annex C, located across the street from the church at 1943 Orange Avenue.   • Last Year's Palms - We are now collecting last year's palms. Please place your palms in the basket, located in the vestibule of the church before SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 18TH. These palms will be burned and the ashes will be used at our Ash Wednesday services. Fr. Martin will burn the palms at a brief prayer service after the 5:00 p.m. Mass on SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 19TH, weather permitting.

  • Stations of the Cross - During the Fridays of Lent, Fr. Martin will be celebrating Mass at 5:30 p.m. Following Mass, we will meditate on the Stations of the Cross beginning at 6:00 p.m., in the church. On FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 24TH, the Stations of the Cross will be lead by FR. MARTIN. Stations of the Cross in Spanish will begin at 7:30 p.m. immediately following the 7:00 p.m. Mass.
  • Fish Dinners - The Knights of Columbus invite everyone to come enjoy the fantastic fish dinners they will be serving in NEVIN HALL FROM 6:00 TO 9:00 P.M., every Friday night during Lent. All are encouraged to join the community on Friday evenings during Lent.
  • Parish Student Choir - All children, grades 3rd thru 8th, are invited to join the Parish Student Choir, which will combine with the school choir for the 10:00 a.m. Mass on the SUNDAY, MARCH 4TH. Rehearsals will take place on SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 19TH & 26TH, from 12:45 to 1:30 p.m., in the music room. Questions – contact Andrew Everson, our Music Director, at (949) 574-7400 Ext. 413.
  • Our Lady of Perpetual Help Scholarship - The OLPH Scholarship Fund has been established by the St. Joachim School PTO to provide an incoming 5th thru 8th grade student the opportunity to attend St. Joachim Catholic School. Applicants must be current St. Joachim parishioners, have at least a B grade point average (including conduct) and be able to demonstrate financial need. Applications will be reviewed by an independent agency as well as the OLPH Board.   • Thanks to Our Lady Queen of Angels! - Fr. Kerry Beaulieu, Pastor of Our Lady Queen of Angels, and Dr. Patricia Lamb, Director of Music, made us aware that they were replacing their late-90s digital organ.Their outgoing organ was certain to have at least 20-25 good years left, and they were all to happy to see that it came to us at no charge!
