- Priests Retreat - The priests of the Diocese of Orange will be on retreat beginning the afternoon of MONDAY, JUNE 3rd, THROUGH THE AFTERNOON OF FRIDAY, JUNE 7TH. The priests of our neighboring parish, St. John the Baptist, will be presiding at daily 8:30 a.m. English Mass from Tuesday thru Friday. There will be Spanish Communion Service with Deacon Fred Canlas at 7:00 p.m. from Monday thru Thursday. We have arranged with St. John the Baptist and Saints Simon and Jude parishes to cover sick calls, but we do ask that calls that can wait be deferred until the priests return. These two parishes are staffed by religious order priests who will not participate in the diocesan retreat.
PLEASE NOTE: There will be NO confessions on either Wednesday evening, JUNE 5TH, or Saturday morning, JUNE 8TH.
- Become an Altar Server -
Each year a call goes out to young people who might be interested in serving at the Altar during Mass. Those who will be entering the fifth grade or above, and have made their First Holy Communion, are welcome to submit an application. We are looking for those who are serious about undertaking such an awesome responsibility and who see it as a privilege to serve. We ask applicants to be flexible, making themselves available to serve at different Masses, especially on Sundays. If you believe the Lord is calling you to serve in this way, please prayerfully consider applying for this ministry. Many of today’s priests were altar servers in their younger years.
The Training Session will begin MONDAY, JUNE 3RD, THRU WEDNESDAY, JUNE 5TH. The last class will be MONDAY, JUNE 10TH, with Fr. Martin. This session is open to first twelve applicants so sign up early. Training will be held in the church beginning at 3:30 and ending at 5:30 p.m. each day. PARENTS ARE REQUIRED TO ATTEND THE FIRST 30 MINUTES ON THE FIRST DAY OF CLASS. CHILDREN ARE REQUIRED TO ATTEND ALL FOUR DAYS OF TRAINING! You can pick up your application in the parish office. Deadline to signup is SUNDAY, MAY 26TH.

2013 Vacation Bible School -

It’s time for VBS again! This year VBS will take place from MONDAY, JUNE 24TH THRU FRIDAY, JUNE 28TH, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. This is for children 4 years of age through 5th grade. Registration has begun. The cost is $60 per child.

St. Joachim Cancer Ministry -
The St. Joachim Cancer Ministry is organizing a team to participate in the Relay for Life of Costa Mesa sponsored by the American Cancer Society. This event will take place at the Costa Mesa High School Campus, located on Fairview Ave, across from Orange Coast College. The event begins on Saturday, June 8th, at 10:00 a.m., and continues straight through until Sunday, June 9th, at 10:00 a.m. There will be a table, outside in the gathering area after all Masses the weekend of MAY 11TH & 12TH AND MAY 18TH & 19TH, to provide you with more information and an easy way to join this worthwhile event! - Electronic Giving - Please help your Parish's finances by switching to electronic giving. You can sign up in just minutes at the Parish office or on the Parish website. New, starting in April, your weekly offering envelope has a box to check indicating electronic giving, and you can place the envelope into the collection baskets during Mass.
